Pastor Charmecia “Mecie” Okpara is the Executive Pastor of Faith Filled Church in Lewisville, Texas, where she has faithfully served alongside her husband, Pastor Joshua Okpara, since the ministry’s inception. A visionary leader with a heart for people, Pastor Mecie is known for her multifaceted gifting, pursuit of excellence, and unwavering commitment to helping others thrive in their God-given identity.

She gave her life to Christ at the age of nine, laying a strong spiritual foundation that matured during her college years as her understanding of the Holy Spirit deepened. While attending the University of North Texas, she responded to God’s call to create spaces where young women could encounter Christ authentically. In September 2015, she launched Faith Filled Women of Christ—beginning as a GroupMe devotional and officially becoming a recognized campus organization on March 23, 2016. The ministry later expanded to Texas Woman’s University, fostering a judgment-free, unified atmosphere for worship, service, and spiritual growth among college women. This vision has since evolved into Arise Women’s Ministry at Faith Filled Church, marking over a decade of consistent women’s ministry leadership.

Pastor Mecie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of North Texas, a Master of Science in Family Studies with a specialization in Christian Counseling, and a Christian Counseling Certificate. She further strengthened her ministry foundation at the Rock School of Ministry in Frisco, Texas. Her academic and spiritual training fuels her deep commitment to strengthening marriages and families across every stage of the family life cycle. For the past three years, she has taught Moments Before Matrimony, a premarital course supported by her exclusive curriculum and self-authored textbook through her organization, 3Strand. The program equips unmarried individuals and early-marriage couples to build Christ-centered, purpose-driven unions.

Her passion for generational impact also led her to establish Kingdom Advantage Learning Academy, an education initiative serving families through early childhood programs, Mother’s Day Out, K–12 summer camps, after-school programs, and a growing vision for a future school. Kingdom Advantage also includes a Kingdom Parent Academy, designed to equip parents with biblical tools to lead their families with wisdom and intentionality.

In addition to her ministry leadership, Pastor Mecie is an entrepreneur and strategist. When she is not pouring into marriages and families, she can be found operating Amara’s Delights, her home bakery; building websites and providing business strategy through Okpara Consulting Group; or faithfully executing her role as Executive Pastor of Faith Filled Church, where she oversees operations, builds sustainable programs, develops leaders, and ensures organizational excellence.

As a leader, Pastor Mecie is often described as a coach—visionary yet empowering. She leads without micromanaging, challenging individuals to take ownership of their growth while providing guidance, structure, and accountability. Her leadership is anchored in Colossians 3:23, her guiding scripture, which shapes her pursuit of excellence in all things done unto the Lord.

Above all, Pastor Mecie is a devoted wife, mother, pastor, and servant-leader whose life’s work is rooted in one mission: to see women, families, and leaders seek God for clarity, act on His wisdom, and become their best selves—not only for today, but for generations to come.
